Australia fun trip Part 1! =P

Ok. I should start to write something before I lost my memory and the feeling during the 15 days Australia trip! The trip of 7 of us, Eng Seng, Teo Peng, Xia He, Pik Wei, Meng Ho, Yi feng and me!

Day 1. Fly from S’pore Changi Airport to Darwin then to Cairns. Once we reach Cairns, we hopped on a cab to get our camper van! Our home and shelter and transport over there. Then, drove around in Cairns to first, get ourselves some food! We went to the only (?) And the biggest shopping mall there. Ate our lunch too, the potion of their burger is super big! No wonder the size of the people there is quite big too! Hee.. There are a variety of fast food outlets like, MacD, KFC, Hungry Jacks that looks like Burger King, Subway bla bla bla.. Then, drove to our first Caravan park and got ourself a site before we went to Esplanade in Cairns. There is a public swimming pool called Lagoon over there because the ‘beach’ there is not suitable for swimming. We played till sunset around 4.30pm. (I know it is early, cause of Winter coming soon), walked around and went back to our caravan park.

Day 2. Seven of us got separated into two groups. First group of me and Yi feng cause I can’t really get down to the sea and the second group of the five of them to the Great Coral Reef.

Me and Yf got ourselves something nice to eat! The pasta is simply superb, a pizza and red and white wine. Then, we walked around at the tourist area near the Esplanade. Around 2pm, we get bored of the shops there and drove to the near by beaches! That was my first time with Apollo. Em.. I mean, the first time that I drove Apollo. Then, we drove back to the Esplanade to watch sunset while waiting for the five of them to come back from the Great Coral Reef trip.

Top right: Yf's in red face after drinking the wine. =P

The five of them! Got their photos from their Great Coral Reef trip! Hear them talking about their great trip too!

Second photo bottom left: The coral reef that looked like spaghetti. ><''

After the sunset, dinner and some souvenir shopping, we started our long drive to Rockhampton. At the middle of the night, around 3am if not wrong? We stopped and spent the night, sleeping in our Apollo camper van at a petrol station. (Why petrol station? Well.. Their roads are pretty ‘ulu’ with stretches of farms and jungle and maybe some small towns in between, so petrol station is sort of like a shelter place for us during the trip, for the diesel, toilet, parking and sometimes food.)

Day 3. Continue our drive from around 7am. Along the roads, got the ‘reminder’ from the Australia government of staying alive throughout the journey. -___- ’’

We managed to run through the free admission small Rockhampton Zoo before it closed for the day.

Went to the Botanic Garden beside the zoo too!

Then, had our dinner, another super big potion of fish and chips by the roadside before we set off to our next destination, the Caravan Park at Bargara Beach.

Meet the cute animal that we saw on the tree outside the toilet. And it is actually a possum.

Day 4. Woke up in the rainy morning and had our breakfast before we went out. Went for a short walk and did some funny jumping-for-photo-moves before the rain came and we ran back to our Apollo.

Went to Bundaberg after that. It is a drink producer that is famous for its Ginger beer! But we fall in love with another drink named, lemon lime and bitter too! Bought a dozen of Bundaberg drinks there before we set of to Brisbane!

Having fun at the Bundaberg

Rainy road to Brisbane. Scary big lorry still can cut ahead of us when we are going at the maximum speed. ><'' Got a nice view of the baby apple trees too!

Once reached Brisbane, we got us a site in the New Market caravan park and drove to the Brisbane riverside. Woho~ The drive there was not easy oh. Our Apollo is heavy then the roads there. Hoho.. Up and down hill with lots of traffic lights. I drove till I have cold sweat oh.

Rain rain rain. It has been raining since that morning. We walked at the riverside in rain, had murtabak as dinner, walked around in rain and then back to the caravan park again.

To be continue...
